It is also the location to receive and pay for computer printouts, make copies, receive faxes, and scan documents. Renewal of materials and payment of fines are also handled at the circulation desk.

Public Access Catalogue

Internet Terminals

The library offers free public access to computers for word processing and web surfing. Printing, copying, and fax services are available for a nominal fee.

Computer use is timed and on a first-come basis. We can make reservations if all computers are full, and we offer a quick-print station with a 15-minute time limit.

Printouts from costs $0.25 a page for black and white and $.75 for color. Copy fees are the same. Prints from the microfilm reader/printer costs $0.25 per page. Faxes to U.S. numbers are $2.00 for the first page, and $0.50 for subsequent pages to the same number. Scanning is free but is subject to time limits.

Main Stacks

The Main Stacks are bookshelves that hold the library’s collection of circulating print books.  Materials in the stacks are classified by subject according to the Dewey Decimal Classification System.

The call number is like an address: it tells where the book is located within the library stacks. Refer to the library directory for the location CALL NUMBERS within the stacks. Signs are posted throughout the stacks indicating the specific locations of call number ranges.

Because books are classified by subject, you can often find several books on similar topics by browsing the shelves in one area.

Patrons may retrieve books directly from the stacks.  Please inquire at the Circulation or Reference/ Information Desk if you need assistance locating material in the collection.

Reading Room

The reading room includes several print titles, ranging from popular magazines to specialty trade journals, current and back issues are available upon request at the reference desk.
