NOTICE OF CLOSURE to PUBLIC
3/16/2020 thru 3/28/2020
In response to COVID-19 the Board of Trustees of the Carnegie Public Library of Clarksdale and Coahoma County has decided to CLOSE THE LIBRARY TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH AT LEAST MARCH 28. All public programs and outreach have been suspended. However, staff will maintain normal operating hours and provide drive-thru, reader’s advisory, reference, and digital services assistance.
The library has reviewed its operations and programs to determine how to best safeguard the health of the public and our staff while still delivering important services. We have implemented the practices listed below:
Books and materials may be checked out by phone with the assistance of staff and picked up at the drive-thru window at the back of the library.
Return dates on all items previously checked out will be extended by three weeks.
All fines have been waived during this time.
Persons with a fine may still check out materials by phone.
*Books can be returned using the book-drop at the back of the library.
Digital services – e-books and audio books – are available for youth and adults. Go to https://carnegie.axis360.baker-taylor.com/ for a full listing of what’s available.
The Library is unable to accept donations of books and other items at this time.
*If you have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, please do not return your books in the book drop. Call and inform us so we can handle the returned items with special care.
Please check our website and Facebook page for updates:
We wish all to be safe and remain healthy!
